Another past attendee from the annual PGA Merchandise Show that had gone missing is returning. Bridgestone Golf, long known as the “#1 Ball-Fitter in Golf” is making its triumphant return. 2018 was a great year for the Covington, Georgia based company. With numerous victories worldwide including wins by Lexi Thompson on the LPGA Tour, multiple wins by Bryson DeChambeau, Tiger Woods’ 80th career victory and most recently Matt Kuchar (technically won in 2019) it was in a way a banner year.

Late in 2017, I had the opportunity to test and review their Tour B range of golf balls and they were terrific (see review here). At the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show Bridgestone Golf will be unveiling their new “innovative Ball Fitting 2.0 program” and other products. The last time they were on-hand at Demo Day (and the show) was 2016. It was there that I hit their products for the first time covering their JGR line. I’m excited to be having a look at the Bridgestone Golf product range for 2019.

“We are excited to return to the PGA Merchandise Show to promote our newest products and to roll out the next phase of our proprietary ball-fitting program to PGA Professionals and leading retailers,” said Bridgestone Golf President and CEO Dan Murphy.  “Custom fitting for golf balls was a concept we pioneered 12 years ago and introduced to the world at the PGA Merchandise Show.  It has provided us with large amounts of data, which have proven to be a valuable tool for us to customize the performance of our balls to fit a wide range of different swing types.  The PGA Show has served as an important launching pad for us; whether it is for new products or new ways we have identified to better serve golfers, we have high expectations for ourselves in 2019. There is no better way to kick off what promises to be a successful year ahead for our brand.”

The PGA Merchandise Show is the global golf industry’s annual summit for the business of golf, hosting close to 1,000 top golf companies and brands and more than 40,000 golf industry professionals. PGA Show Week begins with PGA Show Demo Day, the world’s largest professional golf testing event on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Orange County National Golf Center. During PGA Show days, Jan. 23-25, the latest equipment, technology, and trends are uncovered within nearly one million square feet of exhibit, demonstration and meeting space of the Orange County Convention Center.
