TPT Golf to Support College Golfers with Play Golf In College

TPT Golf has been on a massive roll.

A roll which began with their launch at the PGA Merchandise Show in 2017. That would lead to Jodi Ewart Shadoff claim a second place finish at the Ricoh Women’s Open Championship using a TPT Golf shaft in her driver. Later in the year Justin Rose would help solidify TPT Golf’s position on the world’s golf stage winning the WGC – HSBC Champions Championship in China and again a week later at the Turkish Airlines Open. Shortly thereafter there was word that Jason Dufner was also testing TPT Golf Shafts.

As we fast forward the clock a little bit to 2018 Jason Day has since gone to using TPT Shafts. Day is currently playing two prototypes shafts (14.5-LKP-LT-LW shaft in his driver and 15.5-MKP-LT-LW shaft in his fairway wood) and neither is currently available for purchase as according to a source are still being refined. Jason Day has seen a strong start to the 2018 PGA Tour season with a victory at the Farmers Insurance Open and a T2 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am.

TPT Golf is in the news again partnering with “Play Golf In College”. Play Golf In College is a company which “identifies and supports elite junior golfers” with the goal of developing their games and help them gain golf scholarships.

TPT Golf Launches 15-LKP-LT-LW Shaft, A Proven Winner on Tour

TPT Golf. One of the “new kids on the block” has been making waves in the golf industry. The premium golf shaft manufacturer from Switzerland had a very successful 2017 in the first year of their launch. A second place finish in the Ricoh British Women’s Open (Jodi Ewart Shadoff) and a red hot finish by Justin Rose where the Englishman captured three titles whilst playing the soon-to-be launched TPT Golf 15 Series LKP-LT-LW golf shaft in his TaylorMade Golf M1 driver (2017). Additionally, in December during the week of the QBE Shootout Major Champion Jason Dufner was testing the new shaft.

I had the pleasure of testing and reviewing the counterpart to the 15 Series LKP-LT-LW shaft (15 Series MKP-MT-SW Review) and it tested extremely well. If this new addition to the TPT Golf stable is anything like its predecessor than TPT Golf could see an even bigger year on Tour in 2018. Below is the press release from TPT Golf and Mary Beth Lacy.

TPT Golf Launches 15-LKP-LT-LW Shaft, A Proven Winner on Tour

tptnew

RENENS, SWITZERLAND – TPT Golf is proud to announce the official launch of its 15-LKP-LT-LW, the shaft that was used to claim three professional victories this fall: the WGC-HSBC Champions in China, the Turkish Airlines Open (European Tour) and the Indonesian Masters (Asian Tour).

The 15-LKP-LT-LW joins TPT Golf’s 15 Series, shafts that are designed to meet the needs of high-speed golfers. Within the 15 Series, the 15-LKP-LT-LW offers the lightest weight (63 grams). It is also the lowest-torque shaft in the entire TPT Golf lineup.

Like TPT Golf’s 10 other shaft designs, the 15-LKP-LT-LW has a perfectly concentric, seamless design. This is the direct result of TPT Golf’s fully automated manufacturing process called “Thin-Ply Winding,” which gives TPT Golf the ability to independently tweak each shaft design parameter. This revolutionary, robot-driven process ensures unrivaled consistency and unlocks superior performance for golfers of all abilities. Unlike other shaft manufacturing processes, the patent-pending Thin-Ply Winding Method enables TPT Golf to create shafts that are exactly the same time after time.

“Every product we create at TPT Golf is on the cutting edge,” said TPT Golf Technical Director Jeff Meyer. “Our design and manufacturing processes give us a huge advantage over standard industry methodologies. The 15-LKP-LT-LW is a product that was developed to meet the needs of the best golfers in the world.”

With the 15-LKP-LT-LW, LT stands for “Low Torque” while LW stands for “Light Weight.” These specific characteristics are enabled through the unmatched precision of the Thin-Ply Technology, as well as the use of a higher-modulus carbon fiber material that offers the lower-torque performance certain high-speed golfers need to achieve their full potential.

“With the Thin-Ply Winding Method, we have an infinite design window to achieve any design parameter,” Meyer added. “We can achieve virtually any bend profile that we need to fit any golfer.”

The 15-LKP-LT-LW ($700) will officially debut at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. It will be available for purchase through TPT Golf’s worldwide network of authorized fitting locations later this month.
