Bag Boy to Launch Quad Junior Push Cart

Available Spring 2019

Richmond, VA – The Bag Boy Company is excited to announce the launch of the Quad Junior Push Cart, engineered for junior golfers 51” and taller. The Bag Boy company invented the original walking cart back in 1946 and continues to pioneer its way forward with revolutionary new products.

This all new version of the Quad is designed after the Quad XL, specifically for the junior golfer. The Quad Junior is very similar in style to the adult version push cart, complete with a beverage holder, a scorecard console with storage and easy maneuverability with 4 wheels for stability and control. The Quad Junior comes equipped with an adjustable height handle that is ideal for growing golfers. A simple foot-controlled parking brake system makes parking a simple task. The cart is easily foldable which makes for compact transport and storage.

“We are very excited to launch the new Quad Junior Push Cart,” said Pat Gallagher, Product Manager at The Bag Boy Company. “It’s a full-featured junior golf push cart with the look and style of the adult version but with the compact fold, size and light weight that is perfect for juniors.”

The Quad Junior comes in 2 different colors and will be available June 5th, 2019. To learn more about the Bag Boy Company, check out their website at www.bagboy.com/.

Bag Boy Nitron Push Cart Receives Rave Reviews at PGA Merchandise Show

All golf push carts are not created equally.

So much has changed when it comes to golf push carts. Long gone are the two-wheeled varieties that destroyed many a rotator cuff and shoulder ligaments. Golf push cats have gone from being a basic ‘lugger” of golf bags to almost being a full-blown accessory. Some of this is partly because you can really “pimp” out the carts with cooler bags, different colored wheels, seats, sand bottles, fans, gloves during the cooler weather and perhaps a speaker for your listening pleasure to help you get through the day.

We’ve seen the evolution of golf carts from a folding and unfolding standpoint as well. Carts can be unfolded or folded with relative ease while maintaining a compact size in the trunk of your car. As easy as the collapsing and folding are with golf’s modern push carts there is still a need to clumsily use your hands and feet to get the job done. Well, a new entry from Bag Boy is set to change this.

During the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida one of my many appointments was with Dynamic Brands. The “umbrella company” that houses brands like Devant Sports Towel, IGOTCHA, Burton Golf, Datrek, and Bag Boy. It’s the latter that has introduced a golf push cart so easy to unfold and collapse that it’s nearly difficult to comprehend.

The Bag Boy Nitron is a golf cart that is worthy of the name that has been a legacy in the golf push cart industry. The Nitron is a pushcart packed with features like a scorecard console complete with a mobile-device holder, and beverage holder, an XL accessory bag under the scorecard console for storage and the proverbial “piece de resistance” the auto-open capability that allows the Nitron to be opened or closed in two quick and simple steps thanks in part to the Nitrogen-powered opening system.

The Nitron was unreal to actually see in-person at the show. If all goes well, I will get a sample to test and reviews. In the meantime, please see the attached released as shared by Michelle Roop. Ms. Roop is the Marketing Manager of Dynamic Brands.

Richmond, VA – The Bag Boy Company unveiled their one of a kind Nitron™ Push Cart, with its revolutionary auto-open technology, making it the fastest opening and closing cart in the industry. Its ease of use is unprecedented while maintaining its compact size for storage and transport.

“Customers, sales representatives, and consumers were all wowed at how simple and quick the Nitron popped open,” said Perry Hilbert, Sales Manager at Dynamic Brands. “There’s no other cart like it on the market.”

Golf Digest ranked Bag Boy’s new Nitron™ Push Cart at number 5 on their list of tech-forward products at the PGA Merchandise Show, highlighting the cart’s nitrogen-powered opening system which allows it to spring open from a folded position instantaneously and hassle-free. Eliminating the time it takes to open and the nuisance that often comes along with other carts is one of the top reasons the Nitron™ is so groundbreaking.

“What puts the Nitron above any other cart golfers have used in the past is simply its effortless open-and-close features. This cart is ready to go in seconds,” said Chris House of Golf and Ski Warehouse. “The convenience factor alone is reason enough to entice consumers, but it’s still super compact, lightweight and eye-catching.”

The Nitron™ Push Cart will be available April 25th in 8 different color options. The suggested retail price is $229.95 and will be available at multiple retail locations and atwww.bagboy.com.

BIG MAX REPORTS RECORD NUMBERS OF YOUNG GOLFERS BENEFITTING FROM USING PUSH CARTS

BIG MAX has been the #1 push cart brand in Europe for the past 15 years and has been steadily growing a loyal band of followers (or pushers) in the U.S. for the past four. In that time, the numbers of push carts seen on fairways across the country has increased hugely but now BIG MAX is reporting that the number of young golfers benefitting from the push revolution is beginning to match that of adult golfers.

“There are three clear advantages of using BIG MAX push carts and we’re seeing more young golfers benefitting from them than ever before,” comments Rick Oldach, CEO of BIG MAX USA. “Fatigue at the end of a round is reduced – there’s a reason you don’t see Pro’s carrying their own bags! Long-term stress on the body is reduced, and we’ve seen through several pieces of research that this is particularly important for young golfer’s developing bodies. And with BIG MAX you get the third benefit that when you are travelling to the course or on the team bus to a match, our Fold Flat technology keeps storage space to a minimum.”

The start of the push cart revolution in youth golf can be traced back to the 2014 NCAA Championship when the entire Stanford team, including eventual winner Cameron Wilson, turned out using push carts. It was clear that this team and their highly respected coach, Conrad Ray, saw a real performance advantage to pushing. This isn’t a new idea in Europe where virtually every one of the national junior teams push their equipment on a cart in competition.

This step change has been reflected in the growth of the BIG MAX college program and the brand’s partnership with the largest girls’ only golf tour in the United States, Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT), as Oldach continues, “19 colleges have taken up our Big Max College Program including the University of Oregon, University of California and Iowa State University. They are seeing the benefits of their athletes using push carts and the benefit of BIG MAX in the storage and transportation of our unique Fold Flat carts. It has been particularly satisfying to be the official push cart of the PKBGT this year as they are encouraging their players to push from a very young age, something they will benefit from for the rest of their lives.”

That view is borne out in the research that informed American Junior Golf Association’s ruling that push carts are approved for use in all junior competitions. After researching the issue they found that carrying heavy golf bags on the back and shoulder can contribute to back injuries and fatigue especially among younger players. Doctors concluded that when regularly carrying heavily weighted bags, especially when the bag’s weight comprises more than 20 percent of the golfer’s body weight, the possibility of injury to the lower back, shoulders and neck is increased. In addition, during developmental years, reducing the stress on the back is important in promoting the development of a healthier spine.

Oldach concluded, “Not only does using a push cart help you at the end of a single round, it will help young golfers long after they progress into the adult ranks. We’d obviously like to see BIG MAX carts on every fairway, but while we know not every cart will be a BIG MAX, we’re delighted to see more golfers pushing carts all over the country and to see more young people than ever before pushing a cart and enjoying their round in comfort.”
