As of late I’ve written and/or talked a lot about the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment company. the brand that brings you premium forged irons and wedges at extremely affordable price points. It’s my opinion that they have the best price point in the golf industry.

2018 was a great year for the Dallas, Texas based company as they brought out several exciting products. From soft goods that included caps and backpacks to a series of new equipment. Among them were models like the Ft. Worth Black and Ft. Worth White irons, Edge irons and last but not least the Equalizer wedges. Stay tuned for a review of the latter in the future.

Looking to build off of the banner year that 2018 was Ben Hogan Golf Equipment announced plans to introduce new products and programs to expand their growth further. Speculating may not be the right thing for media to do but I can’t but to partake in it. It’s fun. Could Ben Hogan Golf be releasing a new hybrid? Or maybe just maybe dare I say a driver or fairway metals? I remember a conversation in 2016 that I had with a rep at the 2016 PGA Show. Maybe a putter? Who remembers the Ben Hogan Bettinardi putters?

Unique Factory-Direct Business Model Provides Serious Golfers with Tour-Quality,  High-Performance Golf Clubs at a Fraction of Competitive Brand Pricing

Fort Worth, Texas – January 14, 2019 –  On the heels of multi-million dollar sales growth in 2018, the resurgent Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company is optimistic about 2019 and plans to introduce a number of new products and programs to fuel growth.

“2018 was a tremendous year for the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company.  We’ve proven to ourselves that our Factory-Direct business model works extraordinarily well and is clearly the way more and more premium golf equipment will be purchased in the future.  We’ve also proven to serious golfers that the brand is firmly back and remains committed to Mr. Hogan’s mission of creating the best-performing golf equipment in the world,” said Scott White, CEO, Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company. “In 2019, we will be aggressive and continue to invest in our Company and business model.  Our new product line-up, specifically, is exceptional and we believe golfers will increasingly migrate away from traditional sales channels to purchase Ben Hogan golf equipment online.”

White adds, “We offer best-in-class golf clubs to golfers at hundreds of dollars less than they would pay for competitive brand products in the mark-up driven retail sector.  And, because we aren’t beholden to retail sales cycles and shelf re-sets, we bring products to market only when they are worthy of Ben Hogan’s signature.  We’ll roll out some new irons and will likely enter some new product categories in the very near future.  I’d urge serious golfers to wait and see what is coming from us before investing in new products from other leading brands.  I promise, they won’t be disappointed!”

Recognized for producing the highest-quality, best-performing and best-feeling forged irons and wedges in the game, the Company’s 2019 new product introductions will complement the existing line-up that includes the Fort Worth Black and White irons, PTX irons, Edge irons, Equalizer wedges, VKTR hybrids and Ft. Worth HI utility clubs.

All products are designed specifically for serious golfers of varying skill levels and are hand-crafted using Ben Hogan Golf’s proprietary club building process. The Company’s team of craftsmen, some of whom worked with Mr. Hogan directly for many years, build each individual club and set of irons one at a time,

to exacting, individual specifications.  Mass production techniques are not utilized at Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company.

Moreover, recognizing that most golfers want to personally experience equipment before they purchase, Ben Hogan Golf offers a simple, risk-free demo program, as well as a Trade-UP program where golfers can offset the cost of their purchase by selling used equipment back to the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company. The Company reports that over 70% of people who try Ben Hogan golf equipment via the Demo Program end up buying equipment.

I really am curious to see what the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company has up their collective sleeves with the release of the new Ft. Worth WHITE irons. I mean the original Ft. Worth irons that were released in 2015 were impressive. They featured a great feeling forged head and aesthetics second to nobody. I was at the 2015 PGA Merchandise Show (and Demo Day) that year to see them in person and swing them. Since that time, I’ve been pretty impressed with every product of theirs to this point.

Earlier in 2018, the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company released a stealthy, sexy BLACK version of the Ft. Worth irons. These were irons that really grabbed my attention although I would have concerns about the durability of the finish. could the same concern hold true for WHITE? There are advantages of considering Ben Hogan products with one of them being a fair price point. A 7-piece iron set can be purchased for $700 and can be customized for no upcharge. The Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company a company that listens to its customers/consumers. Such a novel approach… a rarity.

New Model Joins the Popular Ft. Worth BLACK Irons;Nickel-Chrome Clubhead Finish Irons Now Available Only at BenHoganGolf.com

“Fort Worth, Texas – October 15, 2018 –  Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company (BHGEC) has introduced Ft. Worth WHITE Irons, a complimentary line of custom, hand-crafted forged irons that answer widespread golfer demand for a traditional nickel-chrome clubhead finish in their blade-style iron model.

The new irons join the popular Ft. Worth BLACK irons, one of Ben Hogan Golf’s most successful product lines, which feature a unique Diamond Black Metal (DBM) finish. The new ‘white’ irons are available for purchase immediately without retail mark-up thanks to BHG’s proven direct-to-consumer sales and distribution model that offers unprecedented pricing for high-performance, custom-made forged irons.

“The Ft. Worth White Irons are illustrative of how Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company interacts with and listens to its customers,” said Scott White, President and CEO, Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company.  “On the heels of our sales success with the Ft. Worth Black Irons,  we found many ‘traditionalists’ who wanted to play this iron design with the standard nickel-chrome finish, so we accommodated them with this launch.”

White adds, “As with the Ft. Worth BLACK irons, the WHITE irons will be custom-built clubs to individual golfer’s specifications. But, most importantly, unlike other brands who launch a product that is not readily available, our exclusive factory-direct business model allows us to put these irons in the hands of golfers immediately and at hundreds of dollars less than they would pay for competitive products through green-grass and retail channels.”

The Ft. Worth White Irons feature a traditional forged blade design that is engineered for serious, accomplished players seeking a rare blend of feel, consistency, accuracy and forgiveness. Extensive player and machine testing validate that the irons generate a more penetrating ball flight on scoring irons, higher initial launch angles on long irons and better distance control on off-center hits, when compared with competitive irons. This is a direct result of dual Dynamic Progressive Weighting and Adaptive Perimeter Weighting Systems, which allow Ben Hogan engineers to optimize the size, shape and depth of the unique ‘depression cavity’ on the rear of each club head.

The new Ft. Worth White Irons also feature proprietary enhanced V-Sole® Technology, which is the most versatile sole in golf and has long been a trademark of Ben Hogan irons and wedges. It combines a high bounce leading edge and low bounce trailing edge on the sole and allows for easy manipulation of the club head no matter the lie and without changing the loft. The bounce angles on the Ft. Worth White Irons have been re-engineered slightly on each club head to eliminate ‘grab’ by the turf, especially on less-than-full shots.

Further, the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company’s signature PreciseLoft® System has been simplified in the Ft. Worth WHITE Irons. While the Company remains committed to consistent 4-degree loft gaps between each iron for optimal distance gapping and to minimize loft ‘compression’ at the short end of the set, the Ft. Worth WHITE Irons will only be offered in one loft matrix. The mid-high launch profile (22 to 46-degrees) is preferred by the vast majority of Ben Hogan iron players.  Ft. Worth White Irons will be stamped with traditional numbers (#4 – PW) on the sole.

As with all Ben Hogan irons, the Ft. Worth WHITE Irons can be customized at no charge and golfers can specify length, lie, loft and grips (standard or mid-sized) as well as their choice of a variety of steel and graphite shafts.

The Ft. Worth White Irons are available for purchase at www.BenHoganGolf.com exclusively. True to the company’s innovative Factory-Direct distribution and pricing strategy, they are sold direct-to-consumers for $700.00 per seven-piece set (#4 iron – Pitching Wedge). Moreover, the Company offers a Trade-UP program where golfers can offset the cost of their purchase by selling used equipment back to the Company.

Company Honors Hogan by Showcasing 1953 Letter Introducing his Company & Commitment to Golf Clubs

That Offer “… the best performing design, the best feel for contacting the golf ball, and the best eye appeal”

Fort Worth, Texas – October 5, 2018 –  When legendary golfer Ben Hogan founded his equipment company on October 5th, 1953, he backed his brand by saying his products would offer “… the best performing design, the best feel for contacting the golf ball, and the best eye appeal.”  Today, 65 years to the day after Ben Hogan launched his brand, the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company (BHGEC) is celebrating the anniversary of one of golf’s most iconic names by showcasing the original letter from its namesake speaking to his vision for golf equipment innovation, while reaffirming the Company’s commitment to deliver the same quality products that Mr. Hogan promised.

“Ben Hogan entered the equipment business with the same singular focus that drove his success on the golf course,” said Scott White, President & CEO, Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company.  “Mr. Hogan was obsessed with precision and perfection, and he made it his mission to design and build the finest golf clubs ever made. Today, the Company Ben Hogan founded remains more dedicated than ever to his vision.  We don’t take our responsibility of upholding Mr. Hogan’s legacy lightly.”

White adds, “We’re confident Mr. Hogan would be proud of the modern-day forged irons and wedges that bear his name, which are born using his renowned club making philosophies that have endured for decades.  We also think he would be elated to know that serious golfers can purchase hand-crafted, custom-made products directly from his company.  Mr. Hogan was an innovator … and a shrewd businessman.  Being able to offer golf equipment of exceptional quality without retail mark-up and obscene profit margins is good for golfers, and it’s an idea Mr. Hogan was passionate about.”

Today, BHGEC is experiencing multi-million dollar sales growth thanks to its unique direct-to-consumer business model that has generated strong demand among serious, committed players for custom, hand-crafted forged irons and wedges, plus hybrids, utility clubs and Tour-quality accessories. Heading into 2019, the Company is planning the roll-out of several new product lines, which includes entering into some new product categories.

Adds White, “We have been methodical in developing and executing our direct-to-consumer business model. Now that this strategy has proven successful, we are moving forward with the next phase in our plan. Entering additional product categories is exciting for us but, as always, we won’t do so until we have a product worthy of Mr. Hogan’s signature. That is why we wanted to re-release Mr. Hogan’s founder’s letter and let golfers know that we remain firmly committed to his mission.”
