The #31. It’s always been a significant number in my life. Mostly because it’s number that I wore when I played team sports. It’s amazing how one person that I idolized over the years – in a manner of speaking – transformed me. It was Grant Fuhr. With all of this being said, episode #31 of the TeeBox Chatter Golf Podcast had to be sort of special

In this episode of TeeBox Chatter I welcome Scott Pritchard and Wil Bateman.
This past September, I had the opportunity to have media credentials for the Fortinet Cup Championship. The Fortinet Cup Championship is the tour championship of PGA TOUR Canada. An event where the Top-60 players on the Order of Merit fight it out with a lot on the line.
Scott Pritchard is the Executive Director of PGA TOUR Canada and we discuss his beginnings and the Fortinet Cup Championship. PGA TOUR Canada is the where the road to the PGA TOUR begins. Notables like Tony Finau have played on this circuit.
Wil (Wilson) Bateman is from Edmonton, Alberta Canada and at the time of the recording he had just finished up his Third Round. Little did I know Wil would go on to win the event (held at Deer Ridge Golf Club in Kitchener, Ontario) and the Order of Merit where he unceremoniously gained full-status on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2023.
The left-handed golfer has seen his 2023 campaign get off to a very good start. In three starts Wil has two Top-10 finishes. Even though it’s very early in the season he sits in 10th on the Korn Ferry Points List. The Top-30 at the end of the season gain PGA TOUR status. Wil and I discuss his 2022 season and his interests off of the golf course.
Until The Next Tee!!
