FlightScope mevo

In this day and age there are a multitude of golf products that can turn your home, apartment or backyard into a terrific facility. A place to practice your skills and hone your game. All that you really need is a mat and a hitting net and away you go. But, as fun as it is to hammer golf balls into that net you also want to know what your ballflight is doing. Or more importantly you want to track important numbers like launch angle, smash factor, clubhead speed, ball speed and spin.

There are some products out there that can provide some of the metrics above. But when it comes to a true launch monitor many times these products are bigger. If you want to go to a driving range or in the case of winter a dome that means lugging more equipment than is necessary. Not to mention the fact that some of these launch monitors can cost thousands of dollars.

One of the products that I’m looking forward to seeing at this years 2018 PGA Merchandise Show is a product from FlightScope called the FlightScope mevo. FlightScope is one of THE premier launch monitors in the golf industry but the mevo is a product that is theoretically a game-changer. The FlightScope mevo is a launch monitor that is easily portable as it fits in the palm of your hand, can be linked to a smart phone whether it’s iOS or Android and costs less than $500 USD. The mevo provides data such as ball and clubhead speed, launch angle, spin rates, smash factor and more. It sounds like a lot of “bang for the buck” in a tiny package. below is the press release introducing the FlightScope mevo as shared by Kaleigh DeHart of public relations firm Uproar PR.

The mevo is currently available for golfers and baseball players, and will soon be available for soccer and other sports. Golfers training with mevo have access to performance data including ball and club speed, vertical launch angle, carry distance, spin rate, smash, height and time. Baseball players using mevo are
able to track statistics including pitch speed, pitch spin, exit speed, carry distance and vertical launch angle.
